Saturday, September 23, cross country meet at Castlewood has been CANCELLED due to the forecast for tomorrow.
A few updates:
1. Parade route has been adjusted to one block north to avoid fresh asphalt on Arthur Ave. We will turn East on Bell Ave.
2. Float lineup will begin at 12:30. Parade will start at 1:00PM.
3. Grades 6-12 movie night featuring The Sandlot will be in the HS gym following the football game.
The JH football game against ORR on Monday, September 25th has been CANCELLED.

Think Landscape Architecture!
Do you have students looking for an exciting college degree program and a promising career path where they can make a difference? Be sure to have them check out the accredited Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Program at South Dakota State University. Here is a snapshot of what is currently happening:
• During the busy Spring 2023 Semester our students pursued employment and internships. Our graduates found a strong market for their skills and interviewed across the country. Our graduates have recently accepted positions in Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Colorado, Texas, Kansas, Montana, Minnesota, Nevada, Tennessee, and South Dakota and we are excited to see them succeed. Our landscape architecture students and graduates continue to find success in the job market.
• Seattle! We are hands-on and in the field. Our senior urban design studio spent seven days in Seattle, WA during the Fall 2023 semester exploring the unique neighborhoods of the city and developing sustainable and engaging new spaces for people.
• Collaborative community projects were recently completed in several South Dakota communities including Chamberlain, Box Elder, Harrisburg as well as Balaton, MN and other cities in our state and region. Students and faculty members are working with community members throughout our region to address issues like public health, walkability, access to recreation, affordable housing, environmental and social justice, and flood mitigation.
• Travel! Not only are students in Seattle, WA, they are visiting local prairies, wetlands, and woodlands and recently spent two nights at Itasca State Park studying the native plant communities of our region.
